LYRECO LAUNCHES ITS MID TERM SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY: Eco Future
Lyreco is pleased to announce the launching of Eco Future: its mid term Sustainability strategy.
 
Even Sustainability principles are already for years as a part of Lyreco’s culture and values, Eco Future is an effective step forward to bring consistency, transparency and long term perspective of Lyreco’s Sustainable Development scheme.
 
Eco Future strategy is made up of Lyreco’s vision, 3 guiding principles and clear commitments.
On top of that, a certain number of KPI and ambitious target have been defined; making sure Lyreco’s progress can be shared with all its stakeholders, and especially its customers, its employees, its suppliers and the society in general.
 
Eco Future applies to all the Lyreco countries all over the world.

Steve Law named CEO of Lyreco Group
Marly, France – 14 March, 2012 – Lyreco Group, European leader in the distribution of workplace supplies solutions for businesses, yesterday announced that Steve Law has been appointed the company’s CEO. Mr Law has served as acting CEO since the departure of Philippe Martinez in August 2011.
 
Following the announcement made by Lyreco’s board of directors, the company’s Chairman Georges Gaspard commented: “After Philipe Martinez’s departure in August last year, I had asked Steve to take the position of acting CEO […] I have followed his activities closely over the last six months and was impressed by what I observed. Steve has all the skills and qualities necessary to lead and develop an international group of this scale. Put simply, he embodies Lyreco’s new vision.”
 
Mr. Law has worked for 20 years at the heart of Lyreco Group, previously occupying the roles of Managing Director of Lyreco WISE (UK & Ireland), as well as Zone Managing Director of its Canadian and European operations. He has therefore acquired extensive experience within the company, and exceptional leadership skills.
 
His mission will be to put Lyreco’s new vision into practice long term, to strengthen the group’s international influence and to ensure that product development matches market trends.

LYRECO, 2012 TOP EMPLOYEUR
After 6 years in the top ranks of the Great Place To Work list between 2004 and 2009, we would like to challenge
again our HR practices and our internal and external image.
To this end, late last year, we applied for the TOP EMPLOYEUR (Top employer) label awarded by the CRF
institute.
While most studies are based on satisfaction surveys, the TOP EMPLOYEUR approach relies on an analysis of
the commitments of the human resources departments in providing the most optimal work environment.
The original methodology implemented by the CRF Institute consists in comparing the HR policies, programmes
and practices of applicants against European-wide HR Best Practices references, weighted locally by the
scientific committee. A comprehensive audit of practices is carried out and if the company matches the
corresponding references, it is awarded the label for one year.
The CRF HR Survey™ covers 11 themes:
